Y dale con que JKD es una idea, joder qué pesao. Sé más o menos lo que se entrena en la Inosanto Academy, puesto que estuve haciendo precisamente lo que hacen en dicha academia durante casi 6 años, con José María Fraguas (alumno de Dan, y antiguo director de la revista Sensei, del Cinturón Negro cuando ésta tenía calidad, y traductor por ejemplo de "El tao del jeet kune do"), así que no me vengas con que me vaya a la Inosanto Academy (que tu debes conocer muy bien, por lo que comentas).
Tal vez deberías informarte mejor acerca de lo que enseña Ted Wong, Tim Tackett, (el propio Inosanto a grupos reducidos), etc. Yo sé poco, pero con estos (de los mejores estudiantes de Bruce) he estado en algún cursillo, y de algo me enteré. En mi anterior mensaje te daba una dirección de internet donde podías ver técnicas de JKD, pero por lo que veo no lo has mirado (porque ahí hay técnicas, además de ideas).
En fin, yo paso de discutir esto, que al fin y al cabo desde hace un montón de años sólo me dedico al kickboxing, pero a ver si Ted Wong te lo hace ver clarito (supongo que no tendrás problema con el inglés, conociendo como conoces la Inosanto Academy). Ah, y paso de discutir mucho más, porque con el JKD hay tanta confusión, y Bruce era tan complejo, que me podrías decir que Bruce dijo "JKD es sólo un nombre", y tantas otras citas, y tendría que estar escribiendo y rebatiendo hasta el día del juicio:

Q: Is JKD a concept or a style?
A: There is a technical structure and foundation developed by Bruce himself – this is the base system. All these techniques exemplify the fundamental concepts and principles of jeet kune do. Of course, there is a philosophy or an attitude one must use to look at the training and the art, but all those concepts are very universal and you can find them in many other styles besides JKD. So you can use the concepts or principles and apply them to other arts, but it doesn’t make them JKD. On the other hand, Bruce never wrote the term "JKD concepts." Just look at his personal writings and you will never find that name. The philosophy is very liberating but you have to be careful in order to use it properly – don’t get lost in never ending, nonsensical research. Bruce never liked the word "style" because he thought the term was very limiting. He realized, though, that the art should be structured in order to teach it to a one aspect of the whole art. It may be the highest level of defense because you stop the attack before it begins, instead of defending and then counterattacking. But there are many different tactics used in jeet kune do, not just intercepting.
Q: What are your goals concerning JKD?
A: I’d like to preserve the art as Bruce Lee taught it to me. I was fortunate that Bruce Lee shared with me the material that he was working on and researching, and I want to preserve it to prevent it from completely disappearing. That’s my desire: preserving the heritage and integrity of Bruce’s JKD.
